We much look forward to welcoming you to Summerleaze in 2020. There are some exciting exhibitions in London this year so there should be something of interest for everyone. In addition we have two local authors talking about their books. Firstly in March Humphrey Stone on the work of his father Reynolds Stone and in November David Burnett on Lost Dorset as recorded by the remarkable postcard collection of Barry Cuff.
In April Tim Scott Bolton, Patrick Cullen and TobitRoche will be exhibiting their paintings of Annapurna at the Royal Geographical Society. There will be a fundraising evening on 21 April in aid of Community Action Nepal when a film of the expedition by Jack Hextall will be shown.
We plan to hold two fundraising events in the gallery this year. In the spring a concert of Afghan music in aid of AfghanAid and in the autumn Polly will be organising an introductory talk and sale in aid of Fine Cell Work.
For the lectures coffee will be served from 11.00am. The lecture will start at 11.30am and usually lasts with questions until 1.00pm. There will be lunch afterwards for those who wish to stay.
Many of you, I am sure, would like to avoid postage and writing cheques and I have therefore given my bank details on the booking form. Anyone wishing to pay this way can book by email and I will confirm your booking once your payment has arrived in my bank account. For those wishing to pay by cheque just fill in the form as before and send it to me. It would be most helpful if you give me your email address, if you have one, and I will confirm your booking that way.
We are delighted Josephine Connolly will be organising a wider range of courses in the gallery again this year. Details are at the end of the lectures page. Please contact her direct for more information and bookings.
As we have mentioned before, we love the gallery to be used so do contact us if you are interested in holding exhibitions, running courses or just giving a party.
