The Gallery
Summerleaze Gallery is situated in an exceptionally peaceful and beautiful corner of Wiltshire, yet within easy reach of London by road and rail. There are two beautiful exhibition galleries converted from farm buildings, each having a wonderful sense of space and light.
John Stoller, who was a fine art dealer in the United States for over thirty years, recently joined the gallery and will be organising about five major exhibitions each year and between exhibitions a changing installation of work by gallery artists. There will be a full range of paintings, sculpture, drawings, watercolour, prints and photography. During the principal exhibitions the gallery will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm. At other times the gallery is open from 11am to 4pm every Saturday and by appointment.
Lectures
The gallery has a long history of exceptional lectures organised by Trish Scott Bolton, which are scheduled through the spring and autumn. Lunch is available.
Courses
The gallery offers a wide selection of courses and continues to have close links with the NEAC, which we value enormously. The size of classes is kept small which makes them suitable for all levels of ability, however a few of them require some experience, which is made clear in the description. Held in the gallery spaces and the surrounding gardens and woodland, the atmosphere is excellent for concentration and learning. There is accommodation available in the nearby farmhouse and the meals are cooked with ingredients from the garden and farm. We are happy to meet anyone from the train at Tisbury.
